Mark 10: 1-52
The context of a character, paragraph down to the sentence and a single word is important, no doubt. This morning my thoughts are after reading are quite broad, big picture as I evaluate my own motives for reading my Bible.
How easy can a good thing become a simple matter of routine, a check it off the list type activity, while missing the most basic and important reason for being in the word? This morning it has hit me, as I read these multiple topics addressed by Jesus, I can become numb to the real issues of my walk with Christ. Each topic addressed in these chapters is for my good, reminding me of those basic issues or issue, the condition of my heart and attitude. I need a savior, God can and does make beauty from brokenness, brings the dead in sin back to life, restores, and in perfection shows me what love looks like, with an invitation to become a living example to others in my life.
So thank you for being a friend even when my example isn’t one worth emulating, having the courage to speak truth to me and perhaps the most valuable part; being on the journey with me.
No, I don’t want to just check my time with the Lord off the list, I want to be more like Jesus….thanks for your tagging along, I am grateful for you!!!
I will continue to pray for you and your family as you deliver your goods through out the United States.
