Mark 14: 1-72
it’s a long chapter, with a lot of content. But here are some things that caught my attention. Verse 12-21 the disciples asked where will you have us go and prepare the Passover meal? Jesus sends two of the disciples, go into the city and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him, and wherever he enters say to the master of the house, “The teacher says, where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”
It’s the little things, a man with a jar of water. The master of the house, a room prepared! The master of the house, we don’t know their names, we only know they were as Jesus said, there and available. Circumstantial or divine appointment? Divine appointment for sure. The sovereignty of God on display. Oh that I would be alert to the little things, they really do matter.
So today, kind words, alert to people, and willing to place others ahead of my own self interest, because each person is an image bearer of God!
