Mark chapter 2

Small but impactful statements; “Son, your sins are forgiven.” “Follow me.” “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” And then the sabbath statement; the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.”

These statements are cause for reflection, and wonder. How often do I make it about myself, when it is about what Jesus is doing, then making it about others when I need to consider what Jesus is wanting to do in me? Or, would I be the friend that another could count on for making a whole in the roof to get my friend to Jesus?

The degree of faith on display is convicting… Jesus to Levi, “follow me.” And he rose and followed him!
